Ornament

I wish I could remember where I read about the concept of cutting a disc from the bottom of your Christmas tree before it goes on the curb. Anyway, the idea was to cut a sliver, note the year and save it as a keepsake.

Josh will drill a hole in it & it'll be an ornament for next year's tree.

The idea is that I'll make a new one every year until Dash is old enough to take over. I hope he's a quick study because my painting repertoire consists of little houses and cats that look like monkeys.
